The new version of Trubat Ilma, the lightest and most technologically advanced fleece sweater, is now hooded. Favorite functionality: compact packing into it's own pocket, long sleeves with thumb holes and a sporty, functional fit, complete with wind protection on the head. Useful whether there is a sudden wind on the mountain range or while out on a cycling trip.
Purpose: active trips, active hikes in the mountains, cycling trips.
Development and testing stories: The concept of "the lightest fleece in the world", which takes up a minimum of space in a backpack and does not duplicate a thin down jacket as insulation, came to the team in 2017. Then we saw it in Polartec Alpha insulation material and sewed the first sample that was tested by Turbat creative director Marian Striltsiv on a trip to the highest and most mountainous road in the world - the Karakoram highway, from China to Pakistan. After this test, it became clear that the Alpha is light, but not compact enough or windproof enough without a top layer of clothing. Then we changed the material to Polartec PowerGrid and refined the design.
